What do you need from me before you can cut a key?
Three things: a government issued photo ID, the VIN, and proof the vehicle is yours, which means a current registration, the title, or a commercial insurance card in the same name as your ID. This is a NASTF and state compliance requirement rather than a preference, and it ensures unauthorized parties cannot originate keys for your vehicle.
Can you make a key if I have lost all of them?
Yes. In the trade this is known as all keys lost, and it represents a significant portion of our daily dispatches. We mechanically decode the door lock cylinder, cut a fresh emergency blade to factory specifications, and program the transponder or smart fob via the diagnostic port. No towing required.
How long does it take?
Most assignments run 20 to 45 minutes on site once we arrive. A standard duplicate key takes about 20 minutes. Advanced all keys lost situations on vehicles requiring security module bypass can take up to 60 to 90 minutes. You receive expected service parameters before dispatch, never after arrival.
Will you damage my car getting into it?
No. Our initial procedure utilizes mechanical Lishi decoders directly through the keyway to pick the tumblers without contacting body panels. If access requires an exterior bypass, we deploy protective entry wedges designed specifically to safeguard window seals, weatherstripping, and door alignment.
Do you come to me, or do I bring the car somewhere?
We come directly to you. Everything is completed inside our dedicated mobile lab: your home driveway, an office parking lot, street parking, a parking deck, or roadside. There is no shop visit needed and no tow truck fees.
How much does a replacement car key cost?
Duplicates begin at $145, while full all keys lost generation starts at $275, varying by manufacturer platform, key architecture, and diagnostic bypass requirements. Your exact quote is confirmed and held before dispatch so you know the total cost upfront.
